Might this be why I’m seeing this problem? When I last ran this interface using an older computer, I recall having both Firewire and AC connected. The Mbox manual says it can be powered by AC or by Firewire cable from the computer. It is plugged in via the AC supply, but because the power LED is flashing, I assume the Mbox and the computer are not properly talking to each other. Pro Tools>Setup>Playback Engine does not find the Mbox interface. So also is the previously installed Avid Mbox Mini. The Digidesign Mbox 2 Pro icon shows up in System Preferences. But something is not right and I’m hoping someone has had some experience in making this work. I went ahead and downloaded and installed the driver.
